About me.. Well, I LOVE to ride my bike.
About 6 years ago I got introduced to Cycling through my Dad and instantly became hooked. Since then I have represented New Zealand at multiple events including the 2010 World Championships in Geelong, Australia and World Cup events in Chong-Ming Island (China).
In 2012 my dream came true and I signed with a professional Cycling team called ‘Optum Presented by Kelly Benefit Strategies’. I had an amazing year learning from some of the World’s top cyclists and making some life-long friends.
Through-out my season last year I hit a fairly large speed bump. I had a blocked artery in my hip that restricted blood flow to my left leg. Not the most useful thing to have when my job involves the use of two legs! So in September 2012 I had Surgery in Christchurch to get it fixed. 3 months later I won my biggest race to date, the 2013 NZ Elite National Championships.
I am now on a quest to race my bike to my full potential, as a living, and become one of the top Cyclists in the World. It’s a big goal, but I am going to put everything I can into achieving it!
